Big Hero 6 or commonly known as “Baymax” is an animated film produced by Walt Disney, with the story featuring a nursing robot Baymax and a student Hiro Hamada as main characters and setting in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo.
The film was released in 2014, and became a huge hit worldwide with its unique and adorable characters, including the fluffy care robot Baymax, and its touching story. It made made over 650 million dollars worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated film of that year. It also received several awards and nominations including Annie Awards, Golden Globe, and the Academy Awards.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of the film, a themed cafe that is filled with the heartwarming and humorous charm of Big Hero 6, will open in Tokyo this summer.
The Baymax Cafe will offer a special menu featuring a variety of dishes that are fun, photo-worthy and elaborate dishes inspired by Big Hero 6. All items on the menu are healthy and low in salt and sugar, that meets Disney’s nutritional guidelines. In addition, original cafe merchandise and special gifts will be available to liven up the 10th anniversary of the Baymax film release.
