Starbucks Japan Halloween 2026: Purple Cat Frappuccino and Cat-Themed Goods
Starbucks Japan 2026 Halloween Collection
The Halloween collection arrives hot on the heels of the Starbucks Japan × Pokémon Collaboration 2026, which delighted fans with exclusive Pokémon-themed merchandise. Following this colourful collaboration, Starbucks Japan is keeping the excitement going with another limited-edition collection, this time featuring mysterious purple cats, spooky seasonal treats and adorable Halloween accessories.
From 9 October 2026, Starbucks is launching its Halloween collection with a playful feline twist, bringing together a brand-new purple Frappuccino, a spooky matcha treat and an extensive range of black and white cat-themed merchandise.
This year’s beverage campaign follows the theme “Halloween purple cat in mystery forest”, with the mysterious “Purple Cat” taking centre stage. Meanwhile, the merchandise collection turns to black cats, white cats and moonlit Halloween scenes, with everything from colour-changing cups to glow-in-the-dark bottles.
Meet Starbucks Japan’s Purple Cat Frappuccino

The star of Starbucks Japan’s Halloween 2026 menu is the Blackberry Yoghurt Frappuccino, inspired by a mysterious Purple Cat hiding deep within a strange forest.
The drink combines fruity blueberry yoghurt with a sweet and tangy blackberry chocolate sauce, creating a vivid purple appearance that perfectly fits the Halloween theme. It is finished with two chocolate cat ears poking out from the top, making it look as though the Purple Cat itself is peeking out of the cup.
There are actually two versions to choose from:
Black Ears Version: Finished with bitter chocolate cat ears for a darker, cooler Halloween look.
White Ears Version: Topped with milky white chocolate ears for a sweeter and more playful appearance.
Both versions are available exclusively in Tall size and cost ¥717 for takeaway or ¥730 for eat-in. Availability of each ear design may vary if stocks run low.

A Spooky Matcha and Butter Scone Sandwich

Starbucks is also adding a distinctly Japanese flavour to its Halloween menu with the Matcha An Butter Chocolate Scone Sandwich.
The eye-catching treat sandwiches matcha bean paste and butter between pieces of jet-black chocolate scone. Its unusual shape is designed to resemble a ghost sticking out its tongue.
Flavour-wise, it combines the bitterness of matcha with the sweetness of the bean paste, the salty richness of butter and the roasted notes of chocolate scone, creating a more complex sweet-and-savoury Halloween treat.
