For fans of dark fantasy anime, the blurred line between fiction and reality is part of the magic. Few series capture this quite like Jujutsu Kaisen, where familiar urban landscapes become the backdrop for high-stakes supernatural battles.
Now, the anime is bringing its distinctive energy to another iconic Japanese city: Yokohama.
As part of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen‘s 5th-anniversary celebrations, Yokohama is hosting a citywide collaboration featuring character photo spots, special illuminations, themed food and drinks, original merchandise, and venue-specific experiences across the waterfront and central city.
The main Yokohama City campaign runs August 15–31, 2026, while several participating venues are holding their collaborations throughout August 1–31. Event periods and operating hours vary by attraction, so visitors should check the latest official information before heading out.
1. Explore Yokohama Through Jujutsu Kaisen
Rather than being confined to a single venue, the collaboration encourages fans to explore different parts of Yokohama.
Special Jujutsu Kaisen photo spots appear at locations around the city, including Yokohama Cosmo World, YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN, Yokohama World Porters, Yokohama Marine Tower, Osanbashi, Chinatown, CIAL Sakuragicho, Hilton Yokohama, and Queens Square Yokohama.
One of the biggest displays is at Minatomirai Station, where a large-scale photo spot brings together 28 characters from the series.
There is also a citywide sticker campaign. Visitors who meet the specified conditions at participating locations can receive one of nine original sticker designs, while supplies last.
Together, these installations turn sightseeing into something of a Jujutsu Kaisen hunt, giving fans an extra reason to explore Yokohama beyond the usual tourist stops.
2. Cursed Energy Lights Up the Yokohama Skyline
One of the event’s most visually striking highlights takes place at Yokohama Cosmo World, home to the famous Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel.
From August 21–31, Cosmo Clock 21 presents a special Jujutsu Kaisen illumination across its enormous LED display. The approximately two-minute presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. and repeats every 30 minutes until 9:30 p.m.
Cosmo World also joins the celebration with collaborative food and drinks, games, AR photo experiences, a stamp rally, original merchandise, and newly recorded character voices.
Next door, YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN gets its own Jujutsu Kaisen treatment, including special decorations and recorded character voices at the boarding gates.
With Yokohama’s illuminated waterfront as the backdrop, these attractions offer an especially photogenic way to experience the collaboration after sunset.
Note: Illumination schedules and other outdoor activities may change or be canceled due to weather or operational circumstances.
3. Anime Eats and Original Merchandise
Fans looking to take a break from sightseeing can head to Cafe Fan Base, located on the fifth floor of Landmark Plaza.
From August 1–31, the café hosts the Jujutsu Kaisen 5th Anniversary × YOKOHAMA collaboration café, featuring themed food, desserts, and drinks inspired by the series.
The menu includes four dishes, four desserts, and twelve drinks, along with special decorations and original collaboration merchandise.
Ordering from the collaboration menu also comes with a collectible bonus: guests receive one original coaster for each eligible menu item ordered. Visitors can select from three coaster groups, with the individual character design provided at random.
Original merchandise is also available at other participating attractions, including Yokohama Marine Tower and Cosmo World. Availability may vary, and some items may sell out during the event.
4. More Jujutsu Kaisen Around the Waterfront
The collaboration stretches beyond Minatomirai.
At Yokohama Marine Tower, visitors can find special photo spots, collaboration merchandise, and a novelty ticket package. The tower’s location near Yamashita Park also makes it easy to combine the anime event with classic waterfront sightseeing in Yokohama.
Fans can continue toward Yokohama Chinatown, Osanbashi, and other participating locations, discovering character displays and campaign activities along the way.
With attractions spread across different neighborhoods, visitors can choose between focusing on a few favorite locations or turning the event into a wider tour of Yokohama.
