Yokohama Milight (ヨコハマミライト ~みらいを照らす、光のまち~) is one of the largest illumination events in Yokohama, has welcomed over 48.5 million visitors in total since 2018. This year, the event lights up key Minato Mirai areas, stretching approximately 1.5 km from Yokohama Station East Exit to Grand Mall Park, with around 250,000 LED lights in vibrant blue tones. The illumination is designed with sustainability in mind, using green energy generated from solar and wind power to minimize environmental impact while creating a spectacular winter nightscape.

2. YORUNOYO

Yorunoyo 2025 – The Yokohama Night Lights is a major illumination campaign in Yokohama’s waterfront area.  Over 40 locations from Minato Mirai and Sakuragicho to Yamashita Park and Chinatown are lit up with coordinated light displays, digital art, and musical effects. A highlight is the “Highlight of Yokohama”, a 5-minute synchronized spectacle of light and sound along a 3 km stretch of the city.  Themed around “flowers”, this year’s edition features interactive lights, projection mapping, and large-scale installations.

3. Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market (クリスマスマーケット in 横浜赤レンガ倉庫) is an authentic German style Christmas market taking place at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse annually. The market features traditional huts offering European style Christmas dishes, drinks and crafts such as ornaments. The whole market is decorated with warm lights and Christmas decorations including the 10 m tall Christmas Tree.

Yokohama Minato Mirai Winter Holiday 2025–2026 celebrates Tom & Jerry’s 85th anniversary in the iconic waterfront area. Major venues include Landmark Plaza, MARK IS Minato Mirai, Sky Building, and the Sky Garden. Features include a Tom & Jerry “Music Tree” shaped like a giant piano, original artwork by six Japanese artists, a themed pop‑up cafe, limited-edition goods, and fun photo spots. Visitors can also catch holiday shows and join family-friendly activities throughout the season.

5. BALLPARK Xmas YOKOHAMA KANNAI

BALLPARK Xmas YOKOHAMA KANNAI 2025 will transform the Yokohama Park and Kannai area into a festive winter town under the theme “Spotlight”. The event features large-scale illuminations, including a 430-meter light display along Nihon-Odori Street. Special collaborations include Frankfurt, Yokohama’s partner city, and the 80th anniversary of Moomin, with exclusive merchandise. Families can enjoy a LEGO® play area, photo spots, and seasonal programs. The event also connects with the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market, creating a vibrant holiday experience across the city. Admission is free.

6. Winter Wonder Park Yokohama

Winter Wonder Park Yokohama will take place at Yamashita Park in Yokohama under the theme “Shiny Winter”. The event features a spectacular illuminated ice‑skating rink where light and music merge into a magical experience. Visitors will also find weekend DJ sets, seasonal food trucks, hot drinks and photo‑friendly installations along the waterfront. Admission is free (skating entry is paid). This winter celebration is designed to showcase Yokohama’s charm and bring local communities together.

7. Yokohama Hakkeijima Seaparadise

Yokohama Hakkeijima Seaparadise (横浜八景島シーパラダイス) hosts “SEAPARADISE Christmas”, a winter-themed attraction blending marine life, dazzling light-installations and festive performances. Anchored by an 8-meter “LIGHTIA Crystal Tree” made from ~52,000 acrylic beads, the event transforms the plaza into a “sea of Christmas” with shimmering blue-white mini-trees island-wide. At night, a story-driven dolphin performance titled “LIGHTIA ~Seven-Color Miracle~” synchronises with the tree’s lighting. There’s also the “Penguin Parade”, and themed menus such as a matcha Christmas tree dessert and Christmas-themed crepes. Tours, photo spots and limited-edition items round out the festive experience.
