Starbucks Japan have announced new limited-edition beverages this spring. The “White Peach and Cherry Blossom Warabimochi Frappuccino” and the “Strawberry Sakura Soy Latte” will be available from 15th February 2025. The theme of Starbucks Japan’s SAKURA promotion this year is “Timeless Japanese Beauty.” Returning to the timeless beauty of cherry blossoms that fascinates people throughout the ages, the cherry blossom-themed frappuccino and latte evoke the ephemeral beauty of Japanese spring through its appearance and aroma, bringing an early spring to everyone.

White Peach and Sakura Warabimochi Frappuccino
The “White Peach and Sakura Warabimochi Frappuccino (白桃と桜わらびもち フラペチーノ)” is a cherry blossom-colored drink that combines the elegant sweetness of white peach with the bouncy texture of cherry blossom-scented warabimochi.
The base of this frappuccino is a rich, milky drink that combines the fresh and subtle taste of white peach with a rich white chocolate-flavored syrup. The soft cherry blossom-colored appearance is reminiscent of the ephemeral blooming of cherry blossoms. The bottom is filled with warabimochi that is softly scented with cherry blossoms. The bouncy texture, which is hidden as an accent, will invite you to take the next bite. The whipped cream on top is topped with a sauce that combines the gorgeous taste of strawberry flavor with a subtle scent of cherry blossoms. Finished with strawberry and raspberry flavored powder, the moment you pick it up, you will be enveloped in the colors and gorgeous aroma of spring.

Along with the sakura-themed frappuccino, the “Strawberry Sakura Soy Latte (いちご 桜 ソイ ラテ) Hot / Iced” will be available at Starbucks stores nationwide. The cherry blossom-colored latte combines the gorgeous taste of strawberry with a subtle aroma of cherry blossoms, making you feel the footsteps of spring. Based on the promotional concept of “Timeless Japanese Beauty,” the beauty of cherry blossoms is expressed through the harmony of modern strawberry and raspberry flavors and cherry blossom flavors that evoke Japan’s traditional food culture.
The main ingredient of the latte is a sweet and sour sauce that combines the bright taste of strawberry with a gentle aroma of cherry blossoms. It is combined with Starbucks’ original soy milk, which is characterized by its moderate richness and mellow mouthfeel. The top is decorated with cherry blossom-colored powder that brings out the flavor of strawberry, raspberry and cherry blossoms, and the moment you hold it in your hand, the scent and color of spring gently envelops your heart. The drink served both hot and cold.

Matcha Sakura Warabimochi Frappuccino and Hojicha & Classic Tea Latte with Sakura Warabimochi
Starbucks Japan has announced two new beverages for their SAKURA promotion, continuing to celebrate the timeless beauty of Japanese spring. The drinks, available from 28 February 2025, feature traditional Japanese ingredients. The “Matcha Sakura Warabimochi Frappuccino (抹茶と桜わらびもち フラペチーノ)” combines matcha with cherry blossom-flavoured warabimochi, topped with strawberry and cherry blossom sauce. The “Hojicha & Classic Tea Latte with Sakura Warabimochi (ほうじ茶&クラシックティーラテ 桜わらびもち入り)” includes cherry blossom warabimochi in the popular hojicha and black tea latte. Both drinks offer a unique blend of flavours and textures, evoking the delicate and fleeting nature of spring.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery, one of the largest Starbucks stores in the world, also introduces its original Sakura collection for 2025, showcasing spring-themed merchandise, beverages, and food. The collection, available both online and in-store, features items inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms. The merchandise includes stainless steel bottles, mugs, keychains, and other accessories. Sakura-inspired drinks, such as the Sakura Cream Latte and Sakura Tranquility, will also be available. Princi, the Italian bakery within the Roastery, will offer limited-time Sakura Cornetti and Sakura Torta.

-Starbucks Chilled Cup Sakura 2025
Starbucks Japan also released the limited-time “Berry Berry Sakura Milk” chilled cup beverage. This drink combines the floral aroma of cherry blossom with sweet and tart berries, blended with creamy milk. It’s designed to evoke the feeling of spring, and the packaging features watercolour-style sakura and berry illustrations to represent the season. It’s sold widely at convenience stores across Japan from early February for a limited time.
