Kochi

Kochi, the largest prefecture in Shikoku Region, is located in the southwest of the Shikoku Island. There are many attractive sightseeing spots related to history from the wild nature. Kochi is also known as the hometown of Ryoma Sakamoto, a historical great man who played a great role in the late Edo period. Kochi Castle is preserved no worse than any other castles in Japan. From the lighthouse in Muroto Misaki in Kochi you can observe the magnificent view of Kochi's nature on the mountain side and the Pacific Ocean on the other side.
