Best Places to See Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo: Yaesu Sakura Street
Yaesu Sakura Street or Yaesu Sakura Dori (八重洲さくら通り) is one of the most popular places to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo. The cherry tree lined avenue offers an incredible view of cherry blossoms near Tokyo Station. You can easily access by walking from Yaesu north exit within 3 minutes.
At Yaesu Sakura Street, there are over 100 cherry blossom trees which bloom in late March to early April every year. The avenue is lined by cherry trees on both sides which create a “Sakura Tunnel”. Visitors can enjoy strolling down under the stunning tunnel at day and night. The Sakura Tunnel is illuminated at night during the season.
Tokyo Station is the biggest station in Tokyo and a major transportation hub. Many shops and restaurants are also located in this area. If you are travelling from/to Tokyo Station during the season, I’d highly recommend you to pop by to see this wonderful Sakura Tunnel!
