NAKED Inc. is well-known for its interactive digital art exhibition that has been involved in a variety of events that cross various fields centered on digital art. The most popular one is Flowers by Naked, an experiential floral art exhibition that is held every year from the 2016 due date with over 500,000 visitors.
In recent years they have been doing temporary events in collaboration with iconic buildings in Japan, as a projection mapping of the Tokyo Station Building or at the Heian Shrine and Nijo Castle. In Spring 2023 they made a special event called Sakura Night Garden at the famous Shinjuku Gyoen.

NAKED “OMATSURI” Eat, Play, and Dance!
This summer, experience a modern twist on the traditional Japanese summer festival at the Marunouchi Building, Tokyo Station. NAKED presents “OMATSURI”, a unique fusion of traditional festival charm and modern digital art.
Visitors can experience the excitement of the AI Big Daruma, a giant digital daruma doll that you can interact with and dance alongside as it takes on the role of DJ during the Bon Odori dance sessions. In addition, the event also offers vibrant traditional performances from across Japan at the Omatsuri Performance Show, featuring ten distinctive dance styles including Kiryu Yagibushi, Yosakoi, and Awa Odori.
Step into the world of virtual festivals with Omatsuri Ukiyo-e projections, where you can try on festival costumes and capture memorable photos against stunning digital backgrounds. Create a custom digital mask inspired by the animated film “Summer Wars” at the Hyper O-men Masks booth. Challenge yourself with the Hyper Target Shooting game, where you can score hits to win yakisoba toppings and indulge in a variety of festival foods from daruma-style rice balls and frankfurters to shaved ice and candied apples.

Naked Fireworks Aquarium 2024
The popular Naked Fireworks Aquarium is an annual summer-only event held at Maxell Aquapark Shinagawa where visitors can enjoy a spectacular “Japanese summer” space with a fusion of images and sounds based on the theme of fireworks and fairgrounds. In. Summer 2024 the Naked Fireworks Aquarium from July 13 to September 8.
Upon entering the entrance, visitors are greeted by fish swimming gracefully under the beautiful night sky and colorful fireworks. Interactive effects are provided, such as vivid fireworks that light up when you touch the walls and even float around your feet. In addition, the “Matsuri Hanabi area is a space designed to evoke a Japanese festival scene, and in the Immersive Area Patterns, visitors can enjoy an immersive experience with beautiful patterns of fish that become fireworks projected on the walls, floor, and pillars.
The popular Dolphin Performance features a day version in which dolphins perform a spectacular dance to the rhythm of up-tempo samba, and a night version called Ruri Hanabi, which depicts a fantastic fireworks display at sea with sound, light, water art, and dolphins.
Maxell Aquapark Shinagawa offers a variety of seasonal events following the changing of the seasons as a cherry blossom event in Spring or a Christmas event in Winter.

TOKYO TOWER CITY LIGHT FANTASIA ~Summer Landscape 2024~ is a night view mapping show held from May 13 to September 1, 2024 at the Tokyo Tower.
The event takes place on the 150-meter-high Tokyo Tower’s main deck. At the venue, colorful hydrangeas, lively sunflowers in full bloom, and fantastic fireworks displaying multiple layers of fireworks will be projected by projection mapping. The sounds of rain, cicadas, and fireworks are all mixed to create a realistic and original summer scene in Japan that visitors can enjoy even on rainy days.

NAKED Summer Festival 2024 at Nijo Castle,
a World Heritage Site
NAKED Summer Festival 2024: World Heritage Site Nijo Castle is a summer-only event that will be held from Friday, July 26 to August 25 by NAKED Inc. at Nijo Castle in Kyoto!
The venue consists of three main areas, but of special mention is the Mapping Fireworks Festival Area which will feature the largest projection-mapped fireworks display in Kyoto. In addition, there is an area where visitors can learn about historical buildings such as the Karamon Gate (an important cultural property) and the Ninomaru Palace (a National Treasure) and a hyper fair area where visitors can experience a digital fair and enjoy food and drink stalls offering candy-like drinks!

NAKED Maruoka Castle Projection Mapping 2024:
Hikari Musubi Special Edition
Starting March 30, 2024, Maruoka Castle in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, will host NAKED Maruoka Castle Projection Mapping 2024: Hikari Musubi Special Edition” to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Maruoka Domain. The end date for the show is yet to be determined.
This special projection mapping show, narrated by popular voice actor Shouta Aoi, will vividly depict Maruoka Castle’s 400-year history and the beautiful seasons of Sakai City. Visitors can enjoy interactive art installations like FLOWER, which features a central river with seasonal plants and floating petals reflecting the changing seasons. Osumap presents a map of Sakai City where you guide koi fish to icons to reveal local attractions and Maruoka Castle’s location. The DJ installation allows you to step on projected icons to create various sounds, simulating the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional castle town.
In addition, the front part of the castle, formerly part of the inner moat, will feature four interactive art installations, returning due to last year’s popularity. These installations provide a unique way to experience and appreciate the local charm of Fukui Prefecture, Sakai City, and Maruoka Castle throughout the year.

Huis Ten Bosch Light Fantasy City
Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is a popular theme park featuring a charming Dutch town replica with canals, windmills, gardens, and traditional European buildings. It offers amusement rides, flower fields, theatres, museums, shops, restaurants, and hotels. NAKED Hana-geshiki
NAKED Hana-geshiki at Asakusa Hanayashiki, launched on July 2023, celebrates the park’s 170th anniversary. This collaboration with NAKED, INC. transforms Hanayashiki’s historic flower garden into a captivating digital art experience. Through projection mapping, visitors can enjoy seasonal floral displays that showcase Japan’s four seasons in a unique and enchanting way, offering a magical flower-viewing experience all year round.

Tsuruoka Castle Historical Picture Scrolls of Light
Tsuruga Castle in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima, is a historic stronghold known for its resilient defense during the Boshin War. Originally built in the early 17th century, it features a striking white-walled keep and surrounded by moats and stone walls. Today, it offers picturesque views, especially during cherry blossom season, and hosts cultural events and exhibitions.
On October 1, 2022, NAKED launched its first permanent exhibition, Tsuruga Castle: The Light History Scroll Directed by NAKED, at Tsuruga Castle. This digital art museum, featuring projection mapping and audio guides, offers an interactive exploration of the castle’s history.
The museum, located in the Iron Gate, South Longhouse, and Dried Rice Tower areas, serves as a key attraction during the castle’s renovation and will continue as a permanent exhibit afterward. It is divided into three zones: Dried Rice Tower: The History of Tsuruga Castle, South Longhouse: The Aizu War & Byakkotai, and Iron Gate: The Legacy of Past Lords, providing a deep dive into Tsuruga Castle’s rich heritage.

NAKED Autumn Night Garden at Shinjuku Gyoen 2023
Located at the heart of Tokyo, in the business neighborhood of Shinjuku, Shinjuku Gyoen is a green lung in the city of skyscrapers. With over 58 hectares divided into three different types of gardens, Shinjuku Gyoen is one of the biggest national parks in Tokyo.
After the success of NAKED Cherry Blossoms in Shinjuku Gyoen 2023, the first collaboration between NAKED and Shinjuku Gyoen for nighttime cherry blossoms, this time they present NAKED Autumn Night Garden at Shinjuku Gyoen 2023, an Autumn lighting event that will be held from November 22 to December 3, 2023.
The event will feature a 200-meter-long tree-lined avenue with golden plane trees illuminated, a Maple Mountain illuminated using fine dancing light particles, and an Autumn leaf projection mapping at the pond in the middle of the park.

NAKED FLOWERS 2023 Autumn at Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site
After a special event in Spring and in Summer, NAKED FLOWERS 2023 Autumn will be held at Nijo Castle from October 27 to December 3, 2023.
Naked’s special digital art will be in different venues, such as an Autumn projection mapping at the Karamon Gate, the main gate of Nijo Castle, at the Ninomaru Garden in front of the hall of Ninomaru Palace and on the inner moat of Nijo Castle. In addition, the Seiryu-en garden will be lit up as well as the tea house.

NAKED YORU MO-DE 2023 at Heian Jingu
NAKED YORU MO-DE 2023 at Heian Jingu is a nighttime visit/light-up digital art exhibition offering a new experience, different from daytime worship. The event will be held from December 1 to 25, 2023, at Heian Shrine, one of Kyoto’s oldest and most powerful Shinto shrines.
During this time visitors will be able to enjoy the view of several historical buildings of Heian Shrine illuminated with Naked’s art, as the Eitenmon Gate, and Important Cultural Property. Also, a beautiful projection mapping which will be reflected in the waters of the Seiho Pond.

NAKED Summer Evening Cool 2023: Kamigamo Shrine
NAKED will hold the NAKED Evening Coolness 2023: World Heritage Site Kamigamo Shrine event at Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto from July 7 (Friday) to July 17 (Monday), 2023.
Kamigamo Shrine is the oldest shrine in Kyoto and a World Heritage Site visited by many tourists. Dipping bare feet in the Nara-no-Ogawa stream, which is rich, is a summer tradition to comfortably cool down in the hot Japanese summer.
Kamigamo Shrine usually closes at 17:00, but only for this event the shrine will be open to participants after the gates are closed for a special occasion. From the magic hour at dusk to the blue hour at night, you can enjoy the atmosphere of summer in Kyoto during the fantastic nighttime shrine event.
Visitors will receive “NAKED Distance Lanterns” at the gateway. This summer you can experience a unique evening in Kyoto while enjoying the illumination of the Toromon Gate, an important cultural property, Tanabata decorations with wishes painted on them, wind chimes that play cool sounds, and firefly-like lantern lights!

NAKED Summer Festival 2023 MIRAI TOWER
The Chubu Electric Power Company MIRAI TOWER, a symbol of Nagoya city, and NAKED Inc. have collaborated to developed digital art projects in the past. Following the NAKED FLOWER TOWER EARLY SUMMER event, the summer event NAKED Summer Festival 2023 Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER will be held from Saturday, July 1 to Thursday, August 31, 2023.
The main attraction is a fireworks show that combines night scenery and projection mapping. NAKED FIREWORKS, a digital fireworks display created with the image of a kaleidoscope will color the night sky of Nagoya spectacularly.
The Sky Deck, an observatory 90 meters above the ground, will be the venue for the festival, with flower tables decorated with Japanese summer motifs such as goldfish and uchiwa (Japanese fan). In addition, fair stalls will be set up at the foot of the tower, and visitors will be able to enjoy the festival atmosphere throughout the area around the tower, browsing the fair stalls with NAKED Distance Lanterns in their hands.
