Detective Conan Cafe in Japan 2025 Spring
Detective Conan Cafe to Open at 6 Cities in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and more!
Case Closed a.k.a. Detective Conan, written by Gosho Aoyama, is one of the most popular Japanese manga series of all time. Over the past 30 years, the series has sold over 250 million copies worldwide since it began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. The detective manga series has been adopted to TV anime series since 1996 and over 20 anime films have been produced.
In 2025 spring, the 28th anime film of Detective Conan “Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback” will be released. To celebrate the release of the new movie, the nationwide Detective Conan Cafe will open for a limited time at 8 sites in 6 cities across Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Miyagi, Hokkaido and Fukuoka. Detective Conan Cafe has opened for a limited time several times in the past, commemorating the release of new movies, but each time the theme and menu are different, giving you a new experience each time you go.
The theme of Detective Conan Cafe 2025 is “Butler Cafe” with the main visual featuring a sophisticated atmosphere reminiscent of the entrance to a Western-style mansion. Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, Kogoro Mouri, three members of the Nagano Prefectural Police (Kansuke Yamato, Yui Uehara and Takaaki Morofushi), Yuya Kazami and Toru Amuro, dressed in butler-style outfits welcome visitors.
This year’s cafe menu will be switched between the first and second half of the term. In the first half term, the cafe offer dishes inspired by the three Nagano Prefectural Police officers who play an active role in the movie, such as soba noodles with various toppings, a set of katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) and curry, and a Conan-shaped waffle made with oyaki dough, inspired by the Shinshu local dish “oyaki.” In addition, the standard menu of the Detective Conan Cafe, “Conan Edogawa’s Bow Tie-Shaped Voice Changer Cream Soda” is arranged into a jelly parfait this year.
A variety of original cafe merchandise and special gifts featuring original illustrations will be available, too. Please check the cafe official website for more details.
