Universal Studios Japan (also known as USJ), one of six Universal Studios theme parks in the world,  opened in Osaka City in March. Drawing over 10 million people visit the park every year, the park is country’s most visited amusement parks in Japan along with Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.

Covering approx 54 ha, Universal Studios Japan consists of 10 different areas, with each one featuring fun and thrilling attractions with famous movie themes such as Harry Potter, Super Mario, Minions, Spider Man, Jurassic Park, Jaws, and popular characters such as Snoopy, Sesame Street, Hello Kitty and more. From adrenaline boosting roller coasters to kids-friendly fun rides, the park offers visitors a various attractions and shows. Moreover, there are shops, restaurants and cafes at the park offering character themed menu and limited merchandise which are also extremely popular among visitors.

Date: January 24 to June 30, 2025

The Peril at the Masquerade is a mystery series show inspired by Keigo Higoshino and is the newest attraction of Universal Cool Japan 2025. A thrilling and exciting event to be enjoyed by the whole family, featuring entertainment and mystery-solving.

Doraemon 4-D Art Adventure: Nobita’s Art World Tales

Date: February 14 to August 17, 2025

The Doraemon 4-D Art Adventure: Nobita’s Art World Tales is a limited-time attraction that showcases 4-D adventure experiences, art, paintings, and other activities related to the Doraemon film series and new release movie. A family-friendly adventure that brings you to the Doraemon world.

-Special Event: Universal Easter Celebration 2025

Date: March 8, 2024 to June 30, 2024 (TBA)

A colorful and ultimate Easter celebration this year, full of entertainment and beautiful decorations throughout the park, featuring eggs and bunnies. There are many fun activities, shows, and parades to enjoy more Easter festivals at the park.

-Power of Pop ~World Tour: from March 8, 2024
-Universal Wonderland Fun Fun Music: from March 8, 2024

Enjoy the unlimited music festival starting this March 2024, various famous characters will be featured and provide unique entertainment. Come swing and have fun!

-Special Event: No Limit! Summer (TBA)

Date: July 3, 2024 to September 1, 2024

The popular water-theme event will be revived for the first time in four years under the name “NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade”. The event features floats shaped in various popular characters and the summer theme performance.

-Special Event: Universal Surprise Halloween 2024 (TBA)

Date: September 5 to November 4, 2024

Universal Studios Japan Halloween is one of the most popular seasonal events at the park held annually between September and November, featuring a wide range of Halloween themed attractions and events including family-friendly parties to thrilling zombie walk at night.

-Special Event: NO LIMIT! Christmas (TBA)

Date: November 20, 2024 to January 5, 2025

Universal Studios Japan’s NO LIMIT! Christmas is held annually from mid November to early January, celebrating the Christmas holiday with special programs including a live Christmas show, gigantic illuminated Christmas tree and popular park characters in Christmas costumes. The limited-time merchandise and food menu are also available at park’s shops and restaurants.
