Blue Cave (Ao no Dokutsu “青の洞窟”) is a popular illumination event held in Tokyo during winter. The event originally started in Nakameguro in 2014, then moved its location to Shibuya a few years ago. It’s one of the most popular and visited winter illumination events in Tokyo, which invited over 2 million visitors in one month last year.

Shibuya Blue Cave 2018 will be held this winter in Shibuya area, Tokyo with approx 600,000 blue LED lights. The blue lights lighten up the avenue of Shibuya, and it stretches for about 800 m from Shibuya Koen Dori Street to Yoyogi Park Keyaki Namiki. Visitors can surely enjoy strolling down the blue lights path and taking photos. It’s definitely city’s most photo-worthy event in winter. Don’t miss to visit this magical winter wonderland if you are around! Shibuya Blue Cave 2018 will kick off on 30 November until 31 December 2018!
