The culture surrounding Spring in Japan
Before we go to the list of events this weekend, let me share with you a little trivia regarding spring in Japan.
In Japan, spring is the season of “goodbyes and new encounters”. This is said because the school year ends in March; in other words, it is graduation season. It is sad to say goodbye, but it is also a season of hope and new challenges. In April, students will start the new year and people who freshly graduated from the university will start their new jobs.
Spring is also the season of flowers. The coldness of winter will fade away as the warmth of spring will come along with the colorful flowers and events related to this. This can be said especially about cherry blossoms. Sakura-related events will be held all across the country, and Osaka is no exception.
