Wow.. it’s this time of the year already! Yes, Christmas is just around the corner and we can feel lots of Christmas vibes in the city!
How would you spend your Christmas season if you are in Japan? There are numbers of joyful events held across the country including Christmas markets! Today, German style traditional Christmas markets can be found at several locations in this far east country!
The Christmas Market at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is definitely the one you don’t wanna miss. It’s the best place to feel the real Christmas spirit in Japan just like in European countries. It’s open in Minato Miarai area for a limited time around Christmas annually.
Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market is themed with a traditional German style Christmas Market, lined with numbers of vendors called “hutte” serving a variety of hot Christmas food and beverages such as sausage, stew, hot wine, hot beer and chocolate, and selling traditional Christmas ornaments.
The market is open from day time but highly recommended to visit at night when lots of decorations and lights spark. The warm illumination, the 10 m tall Christmas trees and traditional Christmas ornaments make the atmosphere of the place jolly and festive.
Yokohama Minato Mirai area is simply the best place to be around Christmas. Lots of Christmas illuminations can be spotted around the area and also the spectacular night view of skyscrapers is one of the most romantic things to see. Moreover, during winter season, an ice skate rink located next to the market is also open (early December to mid February).
It’s a perfect place to visit for families, groups, couples, whoever wants to feel happy Christmas vibes!
